May 14, 2009 — As the last reminders of winter fade from the mountaintops, the fairways are set for play at the Beaver Creek Golf Course, which opens for the 2009 season on Saturday, May 16.
The 18-hole championship Beaver Creek Golf Course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. will offer public play from May 16 to June 14 and Sept. 16 to Oct. 11. The course will be open to club members and Beaver Creek Resort, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead resort guests from June 15 to Sept. 14.
“Course conditions are terrific and we’re in great shape to kick off the summer golf season on opening day this weekend,” said Dave Lopez, Director of Golf for Beaver Creek Golf Club. “We’re also very pleased to welcome Chad Thompson as our new golf course superintendent. His course maintenance skills are well-known throughout the industry and his team has done a fantastic job preparing the course this spring.”
Clubhouse amenities feature a golf shop with all of the latest golf fashions, and the Rendezvous Club Restaurant which is currently offering a Golf and Lunch Special for $79 and includes a three-course meal, golf cart and range balls. The special is being offered Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. May 18 to June 11.
From May 16 to June 14, the price for play is $89 for 18 holes and $63 for nine holes. Juniors ages 7-18 can play for free with a paying adult Monday-Thursday (ne free junior round offered per paid adult).
The weekend rate for juniors ages 7-18 is $65 for 18 holes Friday-Sunday. A special twilight rate is available for all players after 3 p.m. for $60. Golfers who show proof of Eagle or Summit County residence can play 18 holes for $68 or nine holes for $55. All fees are per person and include carts and range balls.
Stay and Play Golf Package
Stay one night in a Beaver Creek lodging property this summer and play one round of golf at the Beaver Creek Golf Club for each night of accommodations. This package starts at $133 per person now through June 14 and is $200 per night June 15 to Sept. 15.
Rate includes one night of lodging in a lodge room (based on double occupancy) and one round of golf per person, with some minimum stay requirements Friday and Saturday nights throughout the summer. Taxes and gratuities not included and accommodations and tee times are subject to availability.

The Beaver Creek Golf Course is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary and ranks among Golf Digest magazine’s “Top 75 Golf Resorts in North America.” The 6,784-yard par-70 course opened in 1984 and begins and ends at the edge of Beaver Creek Village.
