December 19, 2008 — The Town of Vail would is offering a discount at Donovan Pavilion for local events and gatherings for the winter months. As a result of the success of the pavilion’s year-to-date bookings, in which all budgetary goals have been exceeded, the Town is in a position to offer assistance to local residents and business owners who are considering a winter gathering.
Effective Dec. 22, 2008 through Feb. 28, 2009, the Town will offer a 20 percent discount for bookings made by Vail and Eagle County residents.
The events must take place during the discounted time period. Standard rules apply and proof of residency is required. The discount will also be applied to groups and individuals who have already booked the facility during the next 10 weeks.
Town of Vail Assistant Town Manager Pam Brandmeyer says the reduced rates were created to encourage local businesses, groups and organizations to reconsider decisions that may have been made to scale back or eliminate holiday gatherings or other upcoming events.
“We have plenty of available dates to work with and if we can provide an opportunity for additional activities during the early winter season, we are happy to do so,” she said.
The discounted rates are as follows:
