June 18, 2009 — Whether you’re a novice fly fisherman just learning the sport or an experienced angler seeking new adventures, Colorado’s new Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa is a great destination for a rejuvenating fly fishing excursion.
Uniquely situated on the banks of the Eagle River, The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa – the Vail Valley’s first “green” resort - has created two affordable fly fishing packages to cater to fly fishermen and fisherwomen – the Angler Immersion Package and the Reel Deal Fly Fishing Getaway.
Guests love the on-site Gore Creek Fly Fisherman store, where they can do everything from stock up on the latest gear to learn about favorite local fishing spots.
Beginners can give fly fishing a try with our free daily casting clinics, held every morning at 10:30 a.m. on The Westin Riverfront’s wedding lawn.
The Angler Immersion Package is for those seeking the ultimate Colorado fly fishing experience, including two guided excursions led by Gore Creek Fly Fisherman.
Starting at $599 per night for two people, it includes:
* Lodging for two in a spacious studio suite
* A half-day guided wade trip on the Eagle River
* A full-day guided float trip down the Colorado River
* All equipment, licenses, transportation and lunch on the full-day trip

From Oct. 3 – Nov. 1, prices on the Angler Immersion Package drop to $529 per night and on the Real Deal Getaway drop to $229 per night.
