Got stripper skills? Teva Mountain Games nightlife poised to deliver (for a cause)
Hugh Hefner PJ party part of Games' busy nightlife lineup

May 29, 2008 — Hugh Hefner would be proud of the Teva Games. Not only does it promise great competition and events on the dayside, but Saturday Night’s “Hugh Hefner’s Midsummer Night Fantasy Pajama Party,” is the kind of nightlife in which the Playboy publisher would probably love to indulge.

Kicking off late-night at the three bars throughout town June 7, the Pajama Party is part of the “Charity Crawl,” hosted by Vail.pm, which will raise the roof – and a bit of cash – for various charities.

The Access Fund’s “Sweet 16” party starts at Vendettas at 9 p.m., Vail.pm’s Janelle Fundraiser party starts at Samana at 9 p.m., and American Whitewater’s “Pajama Party” will take all comers as the late-night bash.

Organizer Ken Hoeve said the Pajama Party will feature “stripper contests” on the Ski Bar’s legendary dance pole, as well as other ah… creative competitions for prizes, including a Dagger kayak.

“We’re going to have a lot of people partying but it’s all for a cause,” Hoeve said. “Half the money goes to First Descents and the other American Whitewater.”

First Descents is a kayak and outdoor camp for youths with cancer, which started locally and has now grown to a large, regional support network of camps for people affected by Cancer. American Whitewater, a whitewater advocacy group, will also benefit from the party.

The Charity crawl compliments a host of other nightlife events during the Games:
