Beaver Creek dining options abound as resort cranks up chairlift, opens Spruce Saddle

May 21, 2009 — Beaver Creek kicks off the summer season with the annual Blues, Brews & Barbecue festival, May 23-24, and on Saturday starts scenic weekend chairlift rides that can be packaged with bike and lunch deals.

Chairlift rides on the Centennial Express Lift (#6) will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends only from May 23-25 (including Monday), May 30-31 and June 6-7. Daily lift operations will run from June 13 to Sept. 7.

Beaver Creek will offer scenic chairlift rides and lunch at the outdoor grill at Spruce Saddle Lodge on the mountain.

2009 Chairlift Pricing Schedule

Chairlift ride (per day -- free with season pass): $20

Chairlift ride and bike haul: $25

Chairlift ride and lunch: $25

Chairlift ride, lunch & bike haul: $30

Children aged 12 and under ride the lift for free when accompanied by an adult (up to three kids ride free per adult). Winter 08-09 season pass holders ride the lift for free and can purchase a bike haul.

The Beaver Creek Golf Club is open for public play now through June 14. Rounds are $89 for 18 holes and $63 for nine holes. Juniors ages 7-18 can play for free with a paying adult Monday-Thursday (one free junior round offered per paid adult).

The weekend rate for juniors ages 7-18 is $65 for 18 holes Friday-Sunday. A special twilight rate is available for all players after 3 p.m. for $60.

Golfers who show proof of Eagle or Summit County residence can play 18 holes for $68 or nine holes for $55. All fees are per person and include carts and range balls. For more information and to book tee times or lessons, call the Beaver Creek Golf Club at (970) 754-5775.
